April 18, 2025 | Good Friday

Christians all throughout the world commemorate Good Friday prior to Easter Sunday. Good Friday is a time to reflect on the crucifixion and death of Christ. There is no resurrection without death first and it was by the death of Christ that humanity was reconciled to God. We mourn the death of our savior, with hopeful expectation of the morning to come where he will rise again. This is a preparation for the celebration of Easter and puts the congregation in the story of the Gospel by witnessing Christ’s death and feeling the fear and pain that would have brought his followers.
